Given the choice of McCain, Guiliani, or Romney, I had whole-heartedly embraced Mitt Romney. I still think he would be a good candidate. But now I’m hearing more and more rumorings about Fred Thompson. To be honest, I don’t know much about him, but the more I hear, the more my interest get piqued.

A marvelous passage from Edmund Burke’s Letter from the New to the Old Whigs (1791): A true natural aristocracy is not a separate interest in the state, or separable from it. It is an essential integrant part of any large body rightly constituted. It is formed out of a class of legitimate presumptions, which, taken [...]

Not to justify it, but at least during Christmas even the secularized version of Christmas endorses giving, reconciliation, and the bringing together of peoples and families. Easter, however, doesn’t have the same effect. The most sacred [...]

On CNN.com this morning there is a video of a military recruiter telling someone to do a “gay voodoo jig.” CNN has labeled the video “Homophobic Recruiter.” Now, I don’t support the recruiter’s actions, but let me ask you something. What does “homophobic” mean? It means fear of homosexuals or homosexuality. There is a difference, [...]
